Ard Rock Sprint Instructions
The Ard Rock Sprint is 30km with 2000 metres of combined climbing and descending. It takes in three of the most technical Ard Rock stages on Saturday, with the opportunity to practice stages 1 and 2 on Friday. Don’t forget this is Ard Rock territory, so it will take much longer and be harder than a route with similar stats. The entire route will be purpose marked for the event and offers a ‘once only’ opportunity to hit up some unique natural rocky zones. Be warned, the Ard Rock stages contain a mixture of flat-out fast gullies, off-road tracks, steep rocky chutes and technical single tracks that demand a high level of skill and fitness.
Friday:
– Register for practice on Friday at your preallocated time.
– Tell the registration staff your rider number and name.
– Please bring a valid ID to register, you don’t need your ticket.
– Stages 1&2 open for practice from 1pm. Demo Stages P1 and P2 are open before this.
– You are grouped only with riders who entered the same ‘group name’ (no changes at this point).
Saturday:
– Your registration time to collect your timing chip on Saturday is 30 minutes before your start time.
– Attach your timing chip to your right wrist.
– Complete stages 1-3 following the red arrows then the orange route back to base.
Prize Categories:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female in each category. Junior 14-17, U30, U40, U50, 50+
To stay flexible, we allow eBikes in this event, but there are no eBike prize categories. Riders wanting to compete for a prize should enter the eBike Enduro or the Intro on Sunday.
